I know you have heard about it being hard to Potty Train A Dachshund. However, in reality, it is no harder than any other breed. Yes, I know they can sway a little towards the stubborn side and sometimes are a touch nervous but that is no excuse not to try and indeed succeed. All it takes is a little perseverance and repeating the same thing ever day.

There is a simple rule to follow. I call it the “every time/go with” rule.

Every time your Dachshund wakes up – go with him outside

Every time your Dachshund stops playing with his toys – go with him outside

Every time your Dachshund finishes eating his food – go with him outside

Every time your Dachshund is in or out of his crate – go with him outside

Every time you get home – go with him outside

Ever

y time you (before) go out – go with him outside

Every time you want him to go to bed – go with him outside

Recap: Every time your Dachshund stops doing whatever he was doing, it is time to take him outside.

Now you know when your Dachshund needs to go potty it is time to put it all together and get them FULLY potty trained.

I have all the information you need to ensure your Dachshund is easily and quickly potty trained in my new ebook.

How To Potty Train A Dachshund

Karen Larson

I love Dachshunds and support Dachshund Rescue. I created my How To Potty Train A Dachshund ebook when I found out some dachshunds ended up being surrendered simply because they were not house broken. Dachshund Luke travelled with us from Florida to Spain where we stayed in the mountains for 4 years. During that time I started this website and my husband wrote a book! We returned to Florida with a rescue Podenco dog called Puppy and a cat called Kitty Kat. I currently live in Florida with my wonderful husband.
